Electrical and Magnetic Properties Measurement System

A closed-loop He system is used to reach temperatures as low as 2 Kelvin. It is possible to perform electrical and magnetic characterization with the system, which has a superconducting magnet that can reach 5 Tesla. Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and electrical measuring probes allow measurements of magnetic hysteresis, AC susceptibility, resistance and Hall effect.

Magnetic field range: Up to ±5 Tesla

Sample temperature range: 2 K to 325°Kvsm

Typical cooling rate: 1 K/min

Maximum sample dimensions: 10x10x1 mm

Sample Requirementssample holder

Powder samples should be at least 300 mg for VSM and AC susceptibility measurements.

Maximum sample sizes for resistance and Hall Effect measurements should be 10x10x1 mm.
