Application Process

The information below outlines the essential steps for a healthy and accurate application process. Sample Acceptance Criteria is a fundamental principle of the application process. In order for an application to be processed and the analysis process to begin, these criteria must be fully met.

The Application Flowchart provided below visually represents the steps involved in the application process. Please review this flowchart carefully before submitting your application and proceed according to the specified order.

For each analysis, the required sample quantity, shape, size, packaging method, and special requirements are clearly defined in the application forms or the Sample Acceptance Criteria Form. Customers are expected to carefully review these documents and fully comply with the specified criteria.

Sample acceptance criteria are critical procedures applied to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analyses and tests. Below are the key points highlighting the importance of these criteria and what customers should pay attention to:

  • 1. Quantity: The submitted sample quantity must match the requested amount exactly. Sending more or less than the specified amount can adversely affect the analysis results. For example, sending 1.5 liters instead of the specified 10 ml will not be accepted, as it can lead to inaccurate analysis.
  • 2. Shape and Size: The shape and size of the sample are crucial for the accuracy of the analysis. Samples that do not meet the specified dimensions will be rejected. For instance, submitting a 1m x 1m sample instead of the requested 10mm x 10mm will not be suitable for the analysis.
  • 3. Packaging: Proper packaging of samples is essential to prevent deterioration and ensure safe transport. Improper packaging can lead to the rejection of the sample. Samples must be labeled and numbered as specified in the Application Form (Test Request Form). Additionally, sample identification codes, labels, and any special storage instructions should be fully included on the packaging.
  • 4. Special Requirements: Some analyses may require specific storage conditions, additional components, or particular preparation methods. These requirements should be clearly stated in the Testing Service Agreement or sample submission instructions and must be fully followed by the customer.

It is of utmost importance for customers to comply with the sample acceptance criteria to ensure accurate results and the efficient operation of the laboratory. If the specified criteria are not met, MERLAB reserves the right to reject the sample. This practice is crucial for maintaining the reliability and accuracy of analyses.
