Radiogenic Isotope Laboratory (RIL)
Radiogenic isotopes provide critical data about the source and formation processes of substances as tracers and are also used in radiometric age determination. Measurement of radiogenic isotope ratios, geology, mining, petroleum, nuclear energy, environmental pollution control, forensics, ecology, anthropology, archaeology, archaeometry etc. is important in many fields. Some of the applied methods are based on the methods used in the Isotope Geochemistry Laboratory of the German Geosciences Research Center (GFZ-Hemholtz Center -Potsdam) and have been created by in-laboratory studies by making use of international publications. | |
