Instrument: TA Instruments FOX 314 Thermal Conductivity Analyzer (TİC)

Knowing the thermal properties of materials is very important for achieving optimum performance where the material is used. Thermal conductivity is the most important of the thermophysical properties used to describe the heat transport properties of materials. With the thermal conductivity analyzer, the thermal conductivity constant (k) values of the materials can be determined in W/mK. By contacting the surface of the material with the sensor of the device, the thermal conductivity coefficient of the material is determined from the temperature interaction between the sensor and the sample. Our device is used to measure the thermal conductivity of low conductivity construction and insulation materials (glass fiber, rock wool, etc.).

Specifications

  • Device Resolution: ±0.025mm
  • Device Temperature Range: -20°C-75°C
  • Sample Working Range: -10°C-65°C
  • Temperature Resolution: ±0.01°C
  • Thermal Conductivity Accuracy: ±1%
  • Thermal Conductivity Repeatability: ±0.5%
  • Thermal Conductivity Range: 0.005-0.35 W/mK

Sample Requirements

  • The sample should be solid.
  • The sample surface should be flat and smooth and there should be no very large pores on the surface.
  • Samples should be square and 30cmx30cm in size.
  • The sample should be no more than 10 cm thick.
  • The samples should have thermal conductivity in the range of 0.005-0.35 W/mK.
