Instrument: TA Instruments SDT 650 Simultaneous DSC/TGA

With the Simultaneous Differential Scanning Calorimetry and Thermogravimetric Analyzer, the weight change and heat flow of the materials are simultaneously measured as a function of temperature or time. Thus, the thermal stability of materials, polymer-polymer or polymer-additive interactions, moisture in the material and the ratios of volatile components or additives are determined.

  • Temperature Range: 25 ºC - 1500 ºC
  • Weight Accuracy: 0.1 µg
  • Heating Rate: 0.1 - 100 ºC/min.
  • Calorimetric Accuracy: ±2% (with metal standards)
  • Calorimetric Accuracy: ±2% (with metal standards)
  • Dynamic Temperature Accuracy: ±0.5°C
  • Isothermal Temperature Accuracy: ±0.1°C

Sample Requirements

  • Solid materials (preferably in powder form).
  • Sample weight: about 200mg
