Capillary Rheometer
In the capillary rheometer, the molten material in a heated chamber is poured through a capillary of known diameter and length with the aid of a piston. At constant shear rates, the force or pressure required to push the molten material through the capillary is recorded and the yield curve (apparent viscosity vs shear rate) for the material is determined.
Instrument: Dynisco, LCR-7001
Specifications
- Piston Speed: 0.03-600 mm/min
- Dynamic Range: 20,000 : 1
- Test Force: 10 kN
- Temperature Range: Room temperature-430°C
Sample Requirements
All kinds of polymers and filler polymer samples that are solid at room temperature can be measured. At least 100 g of samples. and moisture-free.
Applications
Plastics, filler polymers
