Capillary Rheometer

In the capillary rheometer, the molten material in a heated chamber is poured through a capillary of known diameter and length with the aid of a piston. At constant shear rates, the force or pressure required to push the molten material through the capillary is recorded and the yield curve (apparent viscosity vs shear rate) for the material is determined.

The deformation and yielding properties of materials can be examined. The methods applied can be made according to the international ISO 11443, ISO 6721-10, ISO 6721-4, ISO 6721-11:2012 standards, and some of them have participated in the international proficiency test and received the valid score.

General Information

Atoms formed by the radioactive decay of other atoms are called radiogenic isotopes. Radiogenic isotopes provide important data about the source and formation processes of substances and are used in radiometric dating.

Rock Breaking and Mineral Concentration Systems

It is a laboratory operating within the Rock Breaking and Mineral Enrichment Systems Radiogenic Isotope Laboratory. In this laboratory, basically, the crushing and grinding of the samples subjected to radiogenic isotope tests are carried out. It is preferred that the grinding processes of the samples for which isotope tests will be carried out in MERLAB be carried out in our laboratory. Our laboratory is not responsible for any contamination, contamination, or cross-contamination that may arise from the crushing and grinding stages in the samples sent as ground.

Elemental Analyzer
