TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPY

Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) is a distinct tool in materials characterization to determine the crystal structures and microstructures of materials by use of simultaneous diffraction and imaging techniques. In other words, TEM is the only tool to get both crystallographic and morphological information of materials from a region of few nanometers at magnifications up to million times.

Instrument: Perkin Elmer Pyris STA 600 Thermogravimetric Analysis & Spectrum 1 FT-IR Spectrometer Device (TGFT)

During the thermogravimetry analysis, the gases emitted are directed to the FTIR device using the transfer line, and the emitted gases are determined from the FTIR spectra.

Thermogravimetric Analysis and Differential Thermal Analysis System (TGDT)

Instrument: Setaram Labsys Thermogravimetry Analysis and Differential Thermal Analysis System (TG/DT)

TGA/DTA is a simultaneous technique. The weight change of the sample and the temperature difference between it and the reference are measured using a controlled temperature program.

Simultaneous DSC/TGA (SDT)

With the Simultaneous Differential Scanning Calorimetry and Thermogravimetric Analyzer, the weight change and heat flow of the materials are simultaneously measured as a function of temperature or time. Thus, the thermal stability of materials, polymer-polymer or polymer-additive interactions, moisture in the material and the ratios of volatile components or additives are determined.
